Pioneering event in Santa Coloma: new technologies to strengthen local security

On December 1, 2025, the Can Roig i Torres Auditorium in Santa Coloma de Gramenet hosted the conference “New Technologies for the New Security Challenges in the Local World,” an event that is already establishing itself as a benchmark for professionals in the field of municipal security and technological innovation.

Organized by Pere Ferrer, the conference brought together public institutions, police forces, and technology companies with a common goal: to explore advanced solutions that will allow cities to face current challenges in security and citizen protection.

The session was also attended by the mayor of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, whose interest in new technologies applied to local security underscored the institutional significance of the event.

Among the four featured speakers was Luis Gordo, CEO of Squadrone.es, who presented the various solutions the company offers to the Santa Coloma de Gramenet Local Police for the detection and potential neutralization of unauthorized drones at events and other sensitive situations.

His presentation underscored the growing importance of anti-drone systems in urban environments and demonstrated how Squadrone.es technologies can be integrated into municipal protocols to enhance security without compromising operational efficiency.

Demonstrations and prominent team presence

Our CINO, Adrián Russo, and Project Manager, Alberto Márquez, actively participated in the event. Both expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the meeting and the great interest shown by the attendees.

During the demonstrations, Alberto Márquez presented the SQ Sentinel to police officers and other professionals, showing how this solution can be effectively integrated into surveillance operations, air access control, and incident response.

A technological ecosystem that adds

The event also featured several technology partners, whose solutions add significant value to the local security ecosystem. Squadrone.es emphasized that its C-UAS technologies are designed to integrate seamlessly with these complementary tools, providing a flexible framework ready for future collaborations and joint developments.

The day unfolded in a highly collaborative environment, where speakers and attendees shared experiences, use cases, and perspectives on the future of local security and the digitalization of municipal services. This enriching exchange reaffirms the importance of continuing to build a technological ecosystem focused on protecting citizens more effectively.
